When dark clouds start to take over
We sometimes forget the sun
We tend to feel that we’ll never
Be happy with dark clouds around
We stay in our rooms and remain there
For days and days end on end
We feel like our life’s headed nowhere
Where pain starts and madness begins
We shut out the voices around us
Who cares if they’re crying for you?
Don’t them know that the sadness is creeping
If I let you in, what would you do?
We hurt and we cry and start hating
We push and shut people away
They are the cause of our suffering
Why would they bother today?
But dark clouds give way to the sunlight
Tears have to fall just like rain
As we empty the hatred inside us
Maybe we can start loving again
So look in for the cracks in those dark clouds
For people who hurt, just like you
Hurting and crying inside and
Still unsure of what they should do
Be patient, be strong and be silent
Oft times, no words need be said
Just the fact that you’re there to support them
May give way to sunlight instead.
